Intel(r) Pocket Concert(tm) Audio Player
FM Tuner Setup Utility 

Note: Print this page for easy reference while you install and run the FM Tuner Setup Utility.

This package delivers the FM Tuner Setup Utility for your version 1.1 Intel(r) Pocket Concert(tm) Audio Player.  The FM Tuner Setup Utility does not work on version 1.0 Players.



Downloading the FM Tuner Setup Utility

1. Download FMTUNER.EXE	to a temporary location on your computer.  Remember this location for when you're configuring your FM Tuner.



Verify Player Version

Before running the FM Tuner Setup Utility, verify that your Player is Version 1.1

1. While looking at your Player's display, turn on your Player.  The first line of the second screen indicates your Player's version.  

If it reads V1.00, you must update your Player before you run the FM Tuner Utility. {Click here} to update your Player. - link to the FW Update page.

If it reads V1.10, you can run the FM Tuner Utility right now.



Verify Player Configuration

Before running the FM Tuner Setup Utility, verify that your Player is configured properly.

1. Connect your Player to a USB port on your computer.

2. Open Intel(r) Audio Manager.

3. Look in the player pane:
If you see the list of songs currently on your Player or the message, "No songs on player", your Player is properly configured and you may proceed with the FM Tuner Setup.

If you see the message "The Intel Pocket Concert Audio Player is not currently connected to this PC", you need to update your Player's installation on your computer. 
	a) Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
	b) Double-click System.
	c) Click the Hardware tab.  
	d) Click Device Manager.
	e) Double-click Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
	f) Select the USB Composite Device, click Remove, then click Refresh.  
	g) Verify in the Intel(r) Audio Manager that you now see the list of songs on Player or "No songs on Player".  
	You can now proceed with the FM Tuner Setup.



Installing the FM Tuner Setup Utility

1. Verify that your Player is still turned on.  
2. Connect your player to a USB port on your computer and ensure that 'USB' appears on the player's display.
3. Go to the location where you downloaded FMTUNER.EXE, and double-click FMTUNER.EXE.
4. Follow the prompts in the setup wizard.  
5. The FM Tuner Setup Utility is installed to C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTEL\INTEL POCKET CONCERT\FM TUNER\. 



Configuring your Player's FM Tuner

1. Click Start > Run.  
2. Click Browse and go to C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTEL\INTEL POCKET CONCERT\FM TUNER\. 
3. Double-click "FMTUNER.EXE" and click OK.
4. Select your region and click OK.
