Copyright Intel Corporation 2002 Intel(R) Server Control v2.x & 3.x Summary: These drivers are only necessary if Intel Server Control v2.x or v3.x has been installed on the server system. These are Microsoft* Windows* 2000 compatible drivers and are WHQL certified. Two drivers are part of this download package. They include IMBDRV.SYS and PCICONF.SYS. The IMBDRV.SYS is used by Intel Server Control for monitoring the health of the server system. The PCICONF.SYS is only needed on server systems that support PCI Hot Plug slots and is used to report changes in card slot status. *****Updating your drivers to show a digital signature***** 1) Create a subdirectory or flopply and Copy all driver files (IMBDRV.SYS, IMBDRV.CAT, IMBDRV.INF, PCICON.SYS, PCI.CONF.INF, and PCICONF.CAT) to that location. 2) On the Windows* 2000 desktop, right click on MY COMPUTER. 3) Click on Properties. 4) Click on Hardware tab. 5) Click on Device Manager button. 6) Click the "+" under "System Devices", the IMB DRV driver should be listed Note: If you have IMB Drivers listed under "Other Devices" then right click uninstall them. A system "reset" will then be necessary. Don't uninstall IMB drivers listed under "System Devices." 7) Right click "IMB Driver V3.0" 8) Click on Properties 9) Click on Driver tab 10) Click UPDATE DRIVER button 11) Upgrade Device Driver Wizard appears. Click NEXT button 12) Next window asks "What do you want the wizard to do?", choose "Display a list of known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver" 13) Click NEXT 14) In "Select a Device Driver", Click "HAVE DISK" 15) Browse for the directory/drive you copied all the driver files to. 16) Click on IMBDRV 17) Click OPEN 18) Click OK (to install from disk) With IMBDRV highlighted, Click NEXT 19) Click NEXT to start Device Driver Installation 20) Once updated click FINISH Note: You should see "Digital Signer" as "Microsoft Hardware Compatibility Publ" (This can be viewed under Device Manager | System Devices | Right click on properties | select the "driver" tab and view the "Digital Signer" content.) Repeat steps for "PCI Config driver V3.0" (if installed). You will need to restart the computer once you have updated all drivers. * Other names and brands may be claimed as the property of others.
