Execute NW.EXE to extract the files listed above. 2. Run the included executable file (NW_DISK.EXE) on and Windows NT, DOS, or Windows ‘9x system to create the NetWare Drivers diskette (requires floppy diskette). 3. From the NetWare Server, run NWConfig 4. Select "Product Options" from the "Configuration Options" menu (main NWConfig screen) 5. Select "Install product not listed" from the "Other Installation Actions" menu 6. Insert the floppy diskette (created in step #2) into the server and press to continue 7. The program will then display all loadable "file groups". Select the BKSTROSM.HAM file group by pressing enter on the "BKSTROSM.HAM (1MB)" line to make an "X" in its box. 8. Press F10 to install the "BKSTROSM.HAM" file group. A status bar will show progress. 9. When the message that states "RAID Software installation is complete!" is displayed press to continue. 10. Exit NWConfig and reboot the server. Installing drivers (OSM's) durring NetWare installation (fist time) =================================================================== NetWare 4.2: ------------ 1. Run the included executable file (NW_DISK.EXE) on and Windows NT, DOS, or Windows ‘9x system to create the NetWare Drivers diskette. 2. Begin the installation of NetWare 4.2. Select "Custom installation of NetWare 4.2" when prompted. 3. When the device driver installation screen appears, choose "Select additional or modify selected Disk/LAN drivers". 3. Choose "Select an additional driver". Hit Insert to install an unlisted driver. 4. Make sure that the NetWare drivers diskette is in the floppy drive and hit Enter. 5. Select "BKSTROSM.HAM" from the list. 6. Continue with the NetWare installation as normal by following the screen prompts. NetWare 5.0: ------------ 1. Run the included excitable file (NW_DISK.EXE) on and Windows NT, DOS, or Windows ‘9x system to create the NetWare Drivers diskette. 2. Begin the NetWare 5.0 installation. The NetWare Install will eventually load a Welcome screen, asking you to verify the startup directory (C:\NWSERVER). Hit Alt F10 to exit the installation. At the console, type "Down". The installation exits to the boot drive prompt. 3. Insert the NetWare drivers diskette into the A: drive. If your boot drive is C:, then run NWUPDATE.BAT. If your boot drive is other than C:, then create an NWUPDATE subdirectory and copy all the files from A:\DRIVERS into the NWUPDATE subdirectory. 4. Remove the diskette from the A: drive and reboot the server. After booting you will be asked to Accept the License Agreement. Do so and then select "Continue with Existing Partition". 6. When prompted, Select the "Block Storage OSM". 5. Continue with the NetWare installation as normal by following the screen prompts. Adding or Updating RAID Utilities ================================= 1. Execute NW.EXE to extract the files listed above. 2. Run the included executable file (NW_DISK.EXE) on and Windows NT or Windows ‘9x system to create the NetWare Utilities diskette (requires floppy diskette). 3. From the NetWare Server, run NWConfig 4. Select "Product Options" from the "Configuration Options" menu (main NWConfig screen) 5. Select "Install product not listed" from the "Other Installation Actions" menu 6. Insert the floppy diskette (created in step #2) into the server and press to continue 7. The program will then display all loadable "file groups". Select all groups by pressing enter on to make an "X" in all boxes (or select only those items that you wish to install). 8. Press F10 to install all file groups. A status bar will show progress. 9. When the message that states "RAID Software installation is complete!" is displayed press to continue. 10. Exit NWConfig and reboot the server. For more information on the errata changes refer to the specification update on the product web site. - System hang or ABEND when booting to an expanding or migrating RAID volume (G-15) The following issues have been resolved in the NetWare* 4.2 and 5.0 utilities.
