The UW_UTIL.EXE self extracting compressed file includes the packages necessary to install the DMI Component Instrumentation, SNMP Extension Agent, and RAID Monitor for UnixWare 7.1. The following files are included in UW_UTIL.EXE:

The "install_util" shell script installs the following Utility packages: 

RAIDMON Version 1.0
RAIDCI Version 1.0
RAIDXA Version 1.0


Installation
============ 

Using a Microsoft Windows client (NT, 98, 95, etc.), run uw_util.exe to extract its contents to a directory. 
Using a Microsoft Windows client (NT, 98, 95, etc.), copy the file uw_utils.tar to a floppy diskette. Label the diskette "UnixWare Utilities". Alternatively, if the uw_utils.tar file has been downloaded directly from the target UnixWare system, or if uw_utils.tar can be copied via the network to the target UnixWare system, simply place the file in a directory on the target system and skip to step 4. 
Mount the floppy diskette drive on the target UnixWare system:
a. Create a directory to mount the file (ex: "mkdir Disk_A")
b. Mount the Floppy drive by typing "mount -F dosfs /dev/fd0 /Disk_A" 
Copy the uw_utils.tar file from the floppy drive to a directory on the target system (ex: "cp uw_utils.tar /Tmp") 
On the target system change to the directory where the uw_utils.tar file was copied. Extract the files from uw_utils.tar by typing "tar -xf uw_utils.tar" 
Run the driver installation shell script by typing "sh install_util" from the directory where the files were extracted. The RAID Software Suite shell script will execute. 
Select option 1 "Install RAID Software Suite Components" by typing "1" and then . Three packages are displayed and available for installation. 
Type in the numbers of the packages that you wish to install separated by a comma, or simply type "all" to install all packages. Hit . The selected packages begin to install. 
After installing the selected packages, the available packages are displayed again. Type "q" and to quit. The RAID Software Suite Shell Script main menu is displayed again. 
Select option 3 "Exit" and then to exit the installation shell script.
